Uncharted Waters
Well I like an unassuming presentation
because then,
when you find the jewels
you feel like Magellan
discovering, discovering a new world

when you were lost out on a limb
and the crew was getting thin
and the stars weren't shining so bright

from the 15th Century
out on Spain's authority
to a sparking blue sea you proclaimed,
Pacific will forever be your name

From a classroom in my teens
you have broken through my dreams
and made me want to discover a new world
So, I'll take your casual invitation
because then,
when we find the jewels
we just might feel like Magellans
discovering, discovering
a new world
